1967 Classic Beecham Searider 55
This classic twin screw diesel yacht is a gentleman's motoryacht built in the sturdy tradition of these vessels by W.J Beecham Marine Ltd in 1967, with a iroko on oak hull. She is equally at home on the inland waterways and coastal waters of the UK and mainland Europe.
She had the privilege of being the Communication Centre for the first Round-Britain Offshore Powerboat Race in 1969 and was featured in Motor Boat & Yachting. Berthed between Spain’s Costa del Sol and Gibraltar where she has been a comfortable liveaboard for several years and provides economical cruising in the warm Mediterranean Sea.
The current owners have lovingly maintained her on an ongoing basis since they purchased her in 1987, with regular engine maintenance.
Recent maintenance includes:
2022: Batteries replaced and diver cleaned hull and checked anodes in summer
2020: Last lifted out of water
2019: Engine oil & filters changed - only done 50 miles since
In addition to being a fine seaworthy small ship, this TSDY could provide the new owner with an ideal holiday or permanent home in the sun giving ample spacious and comfortable accommodation. Average fuel consumption is 20 litres per hour and her current berth is available subject to separate agreement.
